2012 NBA Slam Dunk Contest - The Time Has Come

This is your warning. 

Today is the annual celebration of all that is good and violent above the rim. It is time once again for the spectacle that is the NBA Slam Dunk Contest.

To get yourself up to speed with the competitors, take a trip back in the GetBangedOn archives and check out their best dunks.

Your competitors:

2. Chase Budinger (Houston Rockets)
3. Derrick Williams (Minnesota Timberwolves)
4. Paul George (Indiana Pacers)

Enjoy what these guys have to offer. It’s one of the best groups to compete in a while, in my opinion. Just because they aren’t stars, doesn’t mean they won’t put on a show. 

Also, apparently some smart people from MIT are going to install something in the nets to show us how hard each guy is dunking it. Interesting stuff.

The 2012 NBA Slam Dunk Contest will be live on TNT at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
